Biography
Stuart White is a wildlife and landscape photographer from Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. Stuart’s passion for photography began in 2010 when he lived and worked in Labrador. His job afforded him the opportunity to travel to some of the province's most remote and rugged locations. Immersed in the wild beauty of Labrador’s North Coast, Stuart developed a deep appreciation for the landscapes he encountered, inspiring him to begin taking photographs.
Initially focused on landscape and seascape imagery, Stuart’s work has evolved over the years with a newfound passion for wildlife photography. Stuart was the winner of the 2024 Canadian Geographic Photographer of the year in the Flora, Fauna, and Fungi category. His photography demonstrates a profound appreciation for nature, highlighting the intricate details of the world around us. Stuart loves to spend countless hours outdoors and is thrilled to share his love of wildlife and nature with others through photography.
Stuart currently resides in Mount Pearl, NL, with his wife Pam, his daughter Anna, and their husky Loki.
